1. The platform and its roles
VoteMtaani hosts community voting contests. Organizers submit contests and are responsible for candidate permissions, truthful descriptions, prize claims, and fulfilling prizes. The platform administrator reviews polls and manages the stated platform fees and organizer payouts.
2. Voting and payments
Opinion polls may be free or paid; the method and price are displayed before participation. Legit voting accepts one vote per entered phone number in each category. Categories may be free or paid. No OTP is used, so the service does not verify phone ownership or unique human identity. Participation is self-selected.
Boost voting offers packages with a stated quantity and total price. A supporter may purchase more than one package. Paid Legit voting buys one vote at the displayed price and the same entered phone number cannot add another vote in that category. Recorded Boost and Legit votes cannot be switched. Check an uncertain or pending payment before requesting another. Sending a payment prompt does not count as a completed vote. Vote counts update after the payment is confirmed, and repeated payment notifications must not create extra votes.
3. Closing times and results
Polls close at the displayed Nairobi time (EAT). In a contest, the candidate with the most recorded votes wins. An opinion poll reports the leading option, not an elected office holder. Tied candidates are reported equally; no arbitrary winner is selected. A poll with zero votes has no winner. Results before closing are provisional. Payments confirmed after closing require review and do not add votes.
4. Fees and earnings
The listing fee and commission percentage are shown before an organizer submits a poll. The agreed commission is applied to confirmed vote revenue. New platform fee settings do not change an existing poll’s agreed rates. Organizer payouts can be requested after voting closes and unresolved payments are reconciled. The amount shown before payment is the checkout total.
5. Refunds and disputed payments
Once a valid paid vote is counted, it generally cannot be withdrawn or refunded solely because the voter changes their mind. Duplicate charges, uncounted payments, rejected listings, service errors, and mandatory consumer rights require review. A blanket “no refunds” rule does not remove rights required by applicable law. Submit a Payment or Refund request through Help with your reference. The operator records replies and a case status. Rejected polls can be corrected and resubmitted without a second listing fee; any monetary refund requires review.
6. Content and candidate permissions
No hate speech, tribal incitement, pornography, impersonation, misleading prize claims, or contests presented as an official government election. Organizers must have the rights and consent needed for submitted names, photos, and bios. The administrator may reject unsuitable polls and provides a rejection reason. Unpaid and rejected polls may be edited. An owner may revise a published poll before participation or any vote payment request; this pauses voting and adds a visible update notice. Once participation starts, a new round is required to change the question, choices, price or cutoff. Description and imagery changes carry public notices. Moderators can pause or cancel a poll, with a recorded reason. Content involving minors requires the relevant guardian permissions and safeguards.
7. Political opinion polls
Free account-based polls, daily questions and paid opinion polls are not representative surveys, forecasts of an election outcome, or official election results. This disclaimer does not establish legal compliance or replace any applicable approvals.
8. Payment records and archived rounds
Political figures are included for independent discussion; inclusion does not claim nomination, eligibility or endorsement. Archived rounds retain their recorded results and receipts. Any payment flow explicitly marked as a test does not represent real money. Current payment status is displayed on the receipt.
Event tickets
Ticket offers show the event, admission dates, number of people and total price before payment. Entry codes are issued only after payment confirmation. Each code admits one person and can be checked in once. Group packages issue a separate code for each guest. Organizers receive 80% of confirmed ticket sales and the platform receives 20%. Events with orders retain their tickets and receipts when archived. Contact Help about cancellations, uncounted payments or refunds.
9. Poll discussions
Commenting and replying are free and separate from voting. Sign in to post. Discuss ideas respectfully: no harassment, hate, spam, scams or another person’s private information. Authors may edit or delete their comments. Replies remain when a parent comment is removed. Reports are reviewed by moderators and do not automatically remove a comment. Posting limits help prevent spam. Moderators may close a discussion or remove harmful content.
10. Community reviews
Signed-in visitors may submit one review per account and replace it with an updated review. Display names, ratings and messages are published after moderation. Spam, abuse and private information may be removed; honest criticism is welcome. The displayed average covers published reviews. Admin can hide the complete review section.
